Виктор Калинников Тебе поем No. 1

Composer(s) Victor Kalinnikov; In Transliteration, Church Slavonic; For Mixed chorus ; Style/Genre Sacred; Publisher Musica Russica;

Victor Kalinnikov (not to be confused with his symphonist-brother Vassily) was a composer of exquisite choral miniatures, sacred as well as secular. An adaptation of his "Tebe poyem" became known in the West as "Agnus Dei"--in part because this hymn follows the "Sanctus and Benedictus," in the Orthodox Liturgy and there is no text that corresponds to the "Agnus Dei" of the Latin Mass.
