Simply touch the middle of the screen with three fingers to play the desired pitch, and it will continue to sound as long as you hold your fingers down (up to 6 seconds). You can also use the pitch selection menu as a keyboard to check the pitch of individual sounds.
Secondly, there's a metronome. You can use it in traditional click sound mode or in a silent visual mode.
